Bronwyn Bishop faces continued pressure to resign as Speaker amid new claims she attended a Liberal fundraiser a day after her infamous helicopter trip to Geelong.

Mrs Bishop attended the Oaks Day function for the Black Rock branch of the Liberal party on November 6, The Australian reports on Friday.
That could leave open the possibility her only engagements throughout her November 2014 Victorian trip were party fundraisers.

Mrs Bishop has apologised for her use of entitlements but vowed to stay on as Speaker.

But independent MP Clive Palmer, who plans to move a no-confidence motion in the Speaker when parliament resumes in August, says that's not good enough.

He said Mrs Bishop should resign from parliament as well, and if Prime Minister Tony Abbott didn't intervene, he would feel the wrath of the Australian public.

The Palmer United Party leader also posted the below video on Facebook after announcing the no-confidence motion, to be seconded by Independent Andrew Wilkie.
