A week after he swung the axe, new Australian cycling high performance boss Simon Jones has made his first major appointments.
Jason Bartram will replace veteran coach Gary Sutton as head of the women's track endurance squad.
As expected, Nick Flyger was also confirmed as the national sprint coach.
Flyger had been caretaker coach for several months as Gary West fights motor neuron disease.
Sutton and West will leave Cycling Australia in June.
Significant change was always going to happen in the national track program after the Rio Olympics disaster, where the Australian cycling team only won a silver and a bronze.
Sutton dropped a bombshell last week when he revealed he would not be reappointed.
He coached the women team pursuiters to two world titles and they took out the silver at this year's championships.
Bartram was a consultant for a number of sports at the SA Sports Institute and AIS, as well as the Australian mountain bike team.
For the last four years, he was worked under men's track endurance coach Tim Decker as a sports scientist and coach.
Flyger has worked in the track sprint program for seven years under West, initially as a sports scientist.
