Renowned boxing promoter Bob Arum says a new deal is in place for Australian welterweight Jeff Horn to fight Manny Pacquiao in July - but it will only happen if the Filipino great agrees.
A tentative agreement for the pair to face off at Suncorp Stadium in April was torn up after Pacquiao opted to chase a megabucks bout with Amir Khan in the United Arab Emirates, which has failed to eventuate.
Top Rank CEO Arum told reporters in New York he was waiting to hear back from Pacquiao as to whether he would take up the Horn option, reviving hopes for what would be one of the biggest fights in Australian boxing history.
