A new driving program for migrant women in Victoria aims to improve their skills, boost safety and enhance community participation.

Fifteen migrant women will undertake specialised driving lessons to then act as trainers, ensuring unsafe behaviours are not passed on throughout their families.

It's funded by RACV's Community Foundation grants scheme for the Victorian Immigrant and Refugee Women's Coalition.

RACV spokesman Pete Haydon told Zara Zaher it's part of a number of grants to assist migrant communities.
