New evidence confirms Aboriginal people as first Australians

An Australian-led team of scientists has found new evidence confirming Aboriginal people were the first to inhabit Australia.

Scientists from Griffith University have used new DNA sequencing methods to re-analyse a previous study from 2001 suggesting Aboriginal people were not the first Australians.

Griffith University professor of evolutionary biology David Lambert spoke with Uma Rishi about the new findings.
