New Greens leader aims to 'get stuff done'

Newly elected Australian Greens leader Richard Di Natale has a wide agenda for the minor party with a focus still on the environment.

New Greens leader Richard Di Natale has declared the minor party the "natural home of progressive, mainstream Australian voters".

He set out a wide agenda for his leadership that includes a continuing environmental focus along with adding dentistry services to Medicare and issues such as education, housing and multiculturalism.

"I'm in this business to get outcomes; I want to get stuff done," he told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday during a joint press conference with outgoing leader Christine Milne.
