New measures for NSW greyhounds

A brief look at changes to greyhound racing in NSW following the Baird government's backflip on banning the sport on Tuesday.

THE BAIRD GOVERMENT'S LATEST MEASURES TO FIX GREYHOUND RACING

* Former NSW Premier Morris Iemma will chair new body - the Greyhound Industry Reform Panel, that will determine a new regime for the sport in NSW.

* Mandatory life bans and increased jail terms for live baiting.

* Registering all greyhounds for their entire lives.

* Increased resources for enforcement and prosecution as well as animal welfare.
