Treasurer Scott Morrison believes the parliament has shown it can work together, which will go some way to help soothe the concerns of the world's major credit rating agencies over the election result and its potential risk to Australia's triple-A rating.
"With rating agencies you can never predict these things - it's our job to put forward the best possible case and I think we have been able to do that this week by demonstrating this parliament will pass measures," Mr Morrison told Sky News on Thursday.
In the past week the government has secured a $6.3 billion savings bill with Labor, while amending its superannuation reforms to appease the coalition backbench and open the way for their passage in the parliament.
