Twenty-five Victorian ice addicts will participate in a trial to test the effect of a stimulant to reduce their dependence on the drug.
The study is part of a wider national trial with outcomes due to be reported next year.
The trial tests the effectiveness of lisdexamfetamine, a stimulant commonly used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, in reducing drug cravings, Mental Health Minister Martin Foley said on Wednesday.
