Newbold to join AFL Commission

Gabrielle Trainor and Andrew Newbold have been tapped to join the AFL's highest decision-making body, the AFL Commission, next month.

Recently retired Hawthorn president Andrew Newbold will join the AFL Commission along with executive and former GWS board member Gabrielle Trainor.

The pair have been nominated to join the AFL's highest decision-making body to replace outgoing commissioners Chris Langford and Sam Mostyn.

AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick said the pair would bring "great insight and new energy" to the Commission when they join on March 17.
