Newcrest restarts operations at NSW mine

Operations at Newcrest Mining had been suspended on September 6 following a miner's death.

Newcrest Mining has restarted operations at its Ridgeway gold mine in regional NSW, after mining was suspended on September 6 following the death of a mine worker.

A mine technician had been fatally injured at the Cadia Ridgeway mine, near Orange.

Newcrest said it is reviewing its safety processes implementing further steps at all operations to improve its safety performance.
