Next on Izzy's agenda: Hurling?

Watch out rugby, hurling could come knocking for Israel Folau.

Rugby league, then AFL, now rugby union. What's next for versatile superstar Israel Folau?

According to Wallabies teammate Stephen Moore, the traditional Irish sport of hurling should make a grab for their next big thing.

In Dublin for this weekend's rugby Test against Ireland, Folau's exploits have been of high interest to local journalists who want to know which sport he'll conquer next.

Folau has signed with the Australian Rugby Union through to the 2015 World Cup and he says the 15-man code is now "home".

"We'll worry about the next couple of years when it comes around," the dangerous fullback said.

But the playful Moore couldn't miss the chance.

"He says he wants to play hurling next," said the 88-Test hooker, who spent his first five years growing up in Ireland.

"We asked the liaison officer if he could bring a few down to training. We'll have a whack around at some stage."

After becoming the youngest player to represent Australia and Queensland at league, Folau played for Greater Western Sydney in the AFL before making an instant splash in rugby this year to score nine tries from 12 Tests for the Wallabies.

So how would he go with the hurling stick and ball on the boggy gaelic pitches around Ireland?

"Pretty good if the last three sports are any indication," Moore said.
