Nine Entertainment will move its Sydney headquarters to what will the tallest skyscraper in North Sydney after it ends its more than 60-year occupancy of its historic Willoughby compound.
The broadcaster has agreed to lease nine floors of a yet-to-be-completed, 39-storey office building in North Sydney and is due to move following completion of the Denison St tower in 2020.
The move follows the sale of the Channel Nine Studios in Willoughby for $147.5 million in 2015.
Nine's production, sales and digital operations from its Willoughby and Sydney CBD offices will be based at the new headquarters.
Nine agreed to sell its Willoughby site to Hong Kong-based property investor Euro Properties in August 2015.
The sale was expected to be wrapped up in 2017, after which Nine would be able to remain on the site under a three-year lease.
Nine has not disclosed the value of the new lease at North Sydney, which is for a minimum of 12 years.
The new building will also include two levels of retail stores and restaurants, plus 60,000 square metres of office space, of which Nine will take 15,500.
