Nissan will continue to field four cars in the Supercars championship until at least the end of the 2018 season.
There had been doubt over car manufacturer's future in the competition, but on Thursday they confirmed their commitment to the Kelly family-owned team, ensuring four Altimas would remain in the field.
And in a further boost for the outfit, the team's highest-ranked driver, Michael Caruso, has also re-signed for a further two years.
"Motorsport is in the DNA of Nissan, both here in Australia and globally," said Nissan Australia chief executive Richard Emery.
"When Nissan first opened for business in Australia in 1966, one of the first things we did was to go motor racing.
"The Supercars Championship is one of the most high-profile sporting events of any kind in Australia and Nissan has tremendous heritage and a huge fan base in this series."
Nissan are currently eighth in the teams' championship, with Caruso ninth in the drivers'.
The company also confirmed it would double its representation to two at next year's Bathurst 12-hour race.
"Our efforts in the Bathurst 12-Hour over the past two years have further intrinsically linked Mount Panorama and the GT-R. They already had incredible history together but this has now gone to a new level."
