Leaders from Serbia and Kosovo have failed to reach agreement during the final round of EU-backed talks in Brussels.
The negotiations were aimed at normalising relations between the two sides, after the 1999 war which led to Kosovo declaring independence from Serbia in 2008.
The main friction point between the two is the governance of the Serb minority in northern Kosovo - especially in the divided city of Mitrovica.
Serbs living there refuse to recognise the Kosovo-Albanian-led government and are supported by Serbia's government, which refuses to recognise Kosovo's sovereignty.
Central European correspondent Kerry Skyring is in Vienna, and spoke with Zara Zaher.
