North Melbourne AFL coach Brad Scott will not face any charges over an alleged assault at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.
Tasmania Police launched an investigation into an incident that occurred in May during the Kangaroos' win over Richmond in round six.
A security guard at the ground alleged Scott had kicked him, with the coach later formally interviewed by police over the matter.
However, Tasmania Police announced on Friday they had concluded their probe and would not be laying charges.
"Following legal advice, there will be no further action in relation to a complaint made about an assault at Blundstone Arena," a Tasmania Police statement read.
"The complainant alleged that he was kicked in the back while sitting down and was left with redness and soreness.
"The legal advice was that, based on the evidence available, there would have been little prospect of conviction."
Scott is on personal leave from the club as he recovers from back surgery.
He spoke briefly about the incident with reporters soon after the probe was launched and proclaimed his innocence.
"Things will come out in the wash-up," Scott said in May.
"All I can say is I absolutely welcome an investigation and look forward to putting the facts into the story."
