Football Federation Australia says that any speculative links between international match fixing and Australia "do not merit a formal response."

The UK continues to be rocked by allegations of match fixing after an undercover investigation led by Britain's Daily Telegraph led to the arrest of seven people.

Britain's National Crime Agency has since confirmed it is investigating a gambling ring based in Singapore.

The match fixing is believed to have been aimed at lower levels of English football, with the Premier League confirming it has not been contacted by the police.

Three of the seven people facing charges are current British football players.

Former Premier League striker Delroy Facey, who now plays in a lower league, is the only one to have been named.
