No known Aussies among Orlando victims

The foreign affairs department says it does not know of any Australians caught up in Sunday's nightclub massacre in Florida.

No Australians have been identified among the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting massacre, the Department of Foreign Affairs says.

Fifty people were killed and more than 50 others injured when a gunman opened fire inside crowded Orlando club Pulse on Sunday morning, in what was the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

"At this stage, the Embassy has not received any advice of Australians affected," a DFAT spokeswoman said.
