Matthew Dellavedova and his new nemesis Al Horford will come face-to-face in game four of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
The Atlanta Hawks feared Horford, their All-Star centre, would be suspended after an ugly incident in Sunday's game three with the Cleveland Cavaliers' Australian point guard Dellavedova.
After reviewing the dust-up, the NBA ruled on Monday that Horford would not face extra discipline, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
Horford was ejected from the game in the second quarter after throwing his forearm and elbow toward's Dellavedova's head.
Horford and his teammates said after the game Dellavedova has a track record of diving at players' legs and causing injuries.
Hawks three-point specialist Kyle Korver's season ended in Friday's game two when Dellavedova threw himself at a loose ball and crashed into Korver's ankle.
Dellavedova, supported by Cavaliers' star LeBron James and coach David Blatt, says his hard play is not malicious and it was Horford who pulled him down on to the court.
The Cavaliers won an overtime thriller 114-111 to give the team a 3-0 series over the Hawks, with a win in Tuesday's game four to send them to the NBA Finals.
