No summer holiday for Moto3 leader Miller

Jack Miller says he had no time to relax during the Moto3 mid-season break, as the Australian teen continues his charge towards the world championship.

Australian Moto3 star Jack Miller says he hasn't stopped training since the start of the mid-season break as he hunts down the 2014 world championship.

The series returns after a three-week layoff this weekend with the Indianapolis Grand Prix in the United States.

Miller leads the overall standings by 19 points, having won four of nine races so far - including at the last round in Germany.

The 19-year-old has already collected more championship points this year than in his two previous campaigns combined.

"We must continue at the same level or better," he said.

"This three week break has felt long, although I have not stopped training because there is no time to relax."

Despite not finishing last season's grand prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider said he liked circuit which this year features modifications to five turns and a fresh surface.

"It's a special track in many aspects, starting with the atmosphere, and this makes it unique," he added.

"In past years we've needed a completely different set-up, like we use in rainy conditions.

"I want to get there and play about a bit with the grip on the track with the KTM. We'll see how it goes this year with the new asphalt. I can't wait for Friday."

Rumours emerged before the break that Miller had signed a three-year deal with Honda and was a chance of heading straight to MotoGP.

The Australian teenager's future has been a hot topic in recent months amid a contract dispute between him and Marc VDS.

The team claim they have a binding agreement for him to ride their Moto2 bike in 2015 and 2016, however Miller's camp have denied that is the case.
