No AFL player is facing suspension after round seven, with the match review panel throwing out a game-day report laid against Geelong's Rhys Stanley.

Stanley's number was taken on Saturday, when he floored West Coast's Brad Sheppard with a bump during the match at Simonds Stadium.

The panel cleared Stanley on Monday, confirming no contact was made to Sheppard's head.

Cats coach Chris Scott predicted as much following the side's 44-point win.

"We're not worried about it all," Scott said.

"Our view, and I am sure it will be shared by the MRP, is that there was no head contact and he will be fine."

Scott all but questioned the role of match-day reports, given how the MRP is better placed to assess incidents.

"You would hate to think it would take a player's mind off a game for no reason and it's just hard for the umpires too," he said.

"It's really hard for the umpires to make that decision in the moment."

The only players punished by the panel on Monday were Carlton's Dale Thomas, Greater Western Sydney midfielder Stephen Coniglio and Fremantle's Lachie Neale.

Thomas, Coniglio and Neale can each accept $1000 striking fines.

The panel cleared Gold Coast's Clay Cameron, who clipped the head of Melbourne hard nut Jack Viney.

"Cameron changed direction to allow his teammate to go past him and made accidental contact with Viney," the panel ruled.

"No further action was required."
