No third party in Geelong deaths

Police investigating the discovery of two bodies in a Victorian home have ruled out a third party.

Police are not looking for a third party in the deaths of two housemates whose bodies were found with multiple stab wounds in their Geelong home.

Homicide detectives have ruled out a scenario in which the men were attacked by a person who then fled.

"Investigators are not looking for any other person or suspects," a Victoria Police spokesperson told AAP on Thursday.

The men, aged 23 and 30, were found by the elder man's mother who also lived at the home in Whittington.

She had gone out on Wednesday morning to run an errand and on her return found the bodies in a rear bedroom.

The men had significant upper-body injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
