No truth to affair claim: Erin Molan

TV presenter Erin Molan says there's "not one iota of truth" to the claim she had an affair with champion yachtsman and high profile accountant Anthony Bell.

An emotional Erin Molan has denied having an affair with champion yachtsman Anthony Bell, an allegation made against the TV host during a Sydney domestic violence court case.

Molan has been accused by Bell's former wife Kelly Landry, a former model and TV presenter.

Molan and Bell were crew mates in the 2016 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

"It has obviously been a very tough week for myself, my fiance and my family," Molan, fighting back tears, told the Nine Network's Footy Show.

"We are pretty devastated to be dragged into what is a very sad situation, particularly given the insinuation of an inappropriate relationship.

"And I can assure you there is not one iota of truth to any of the speculation.

"It is not who I am, and it doesn't reflect the values that I possess, and it is not how I was raised."

An apprehended violence order hearing in Sydney this week heard Landry sent her husband a text message on December 28 last year, saying: "I know about Erin. Just saw her run to you."

Their marriage was over that night, and in early January police applied for the AVO on Landry's behalf after she went to them for advice.

Landry alleged Bell assaulted her during arguments in February 2012 and November 2016, and that the high profile accountant continued to harass and intimidate after the AVO proceedings began.

Molan's police officer fiance Sean Ogilvy also gave evidence at the hearing.

The four-day AVO hearing finished on Thursday, with magistrate Robert Williams reserving his decision on the application until May 16.
