Norway builds giant underwater gas platform

A gas platform the size of a soccer field has been sent plunging to the bottom of the ocean, 200km off the coast of Norway.

With countries around the world demanding more and more energy, the race is on to find new sources of oil and gas.

One company is claiming a technological breakthrough in its attempts to recover gas supplies off the Norwegian coast.

It's built the world's largest underwater machine which has been lowered onto the seabed and it's expected to pump around 9 billion kilograms worth of gas which would otherwise have been left untapped.
