NRL judiciary system works: Bennett

NRL Rules Committee member Wayne Bennett says the exoneration of three players on tightened shoulder charge laws shows the system is working.

Wayne Bennett says the exoneration of three players at the NRL judiciary this week after a shoulder charge crackdown shows the system is working.

The NRL appeared red faced after their tightened shoulder charge interpretation was put to the test at the judiciary, only for the panel to find Issac Luke, Aidan Guerra and Jorge Taufua not guilty within 21 minutes.

It led to speculation the league may come under pressure to again alter their shoulder charge laws weeks before the finals but NRL Rules Committee member Bennett said there was nothing to fix.

"I believe the system is working. The match review committee charged the players, the judiciary found that they weren't guilty - I think that is a wonderful system," the Broncos coach said before Saturday night's blockbuster against the Sydney Roosters.
