NRL trio to fight shoulder charge ban

Four players will contest their charges at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night, three of which are fighting raps for shoulder charges.

Three players will fight their shoulder charge bans at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.

In what will be a marathon night at Rugby League Central, Manly's Jorge Taufua and the Sydney Roosters' Aidan Guerra will contest their grade-one charges for the controversial tackle in a bid to play this weekend.

South Sydney's Issac Luke will also attempt to overturn the charge but will still miss at least one match after taking the early guilty plea for a separate dangerous throw on North Queensland's Lachlan Coote.

A fourth player, Guerra's teammate Blake Ferguson, has plead not guilty to a grade-one tripping charge and will also argue his case at the judiciary.

Two other players levelled with shoulder charge bans - Gold Coast's Lachlan Burr and Canberra's Jordan Rapana - copped one and two-game suspensions respectively.

Rabbitohs pivot Luke Keary had earlier accepted a one-game ban for his shoulder charge on Cowboys centre Justin O'Neill.

Warriors prop Sam Rapira is the only other player that will be on the sidelines for a week after pleading guilty to a dangerous throw on Penrith's Lewis Brown.
