NRL Warriors re-sign Nathan Friend

Hooker Nathan Friend has signed a one-year deal with the Warriors that will keep him at the NRL club until the 2015 seasons.

Warriors hooker Nathan Friend has signed a one-year extension with the NRL club.

The deal will keep the 33-year-old at the Auckland-based club until the end of the 2015 season.

Friend, who made his debut for the Warriors in 2012 after joining from Gold Coast Titans, was delighted to remain in New Zealand.

"The family is very settled so it's great to know I'll be having a fourth year here," Friend said in a club statement.

The workaholic hooker plays his 183rd NRL game on Sunday when the Warriors tackle Canterbury at Waikato Stadium.
