NSW children uninjured after shots

Police are appealing for information from the public after shots were fired into a NSW house, while a couple and three children were inside.

A couple and three children have avoided injury as shots were fired into a house in the NSW Illawarra region.

The group were inside a Wollongong house when shots were fired in the front window about 8.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday.

A person was seen running from the area, and police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
