A five-month-old boy has avoided injury after his heavily drunk mother allegedly got behind the wheel and was involved in a smash in western Sydney.

The 27-year-old mother blew more than four times the legal limit after her Holden Commodore and another vehicle collided in Freeman's reach around midnight on Saturday.

She later returned an alleged reading of 0.253 at Windsor Police Station. The legal limit is 0.05.

She was granted bail to face drink driving charges at Windsor Local Court in May.
