NSW house searched in missing woman case

Tamworth police are asking the public to contact them if they have information about missing 40-year-old woman Johann Morgan.

A house in northern NSW has been searched and clothing seized by police as part of their investigations into missing Tamworth woman Johann Morgan.

Police said the clothing taken from the west Tamworth home on Friday did not belong to the 40-year-old woman, who has been missing for just under a month.

Acting Inspector Jason Darcy said investigators had identified persons of interest but were still appealing to the public for information.

Act Insp Darcy said Ms Morgan's family were distraught.

"It's been over a month and she hasn't made any contact, there's been no use of the phones, and she hasn't accessed her bank accounts or been to any medical appointments," he said.

Ms Morgan has been missing since August 8 when she left home without her wallet and mobile phone.

She's described as being about 165cm tall, with black hair and a medium build.

Police believe a burnt-out Mitsubishi Magna station wagon found on August 24 is linked to her disappearance.
