NSW man assaulted in road-rage incident

A man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted by another driver in a road-rage incident in NSW.

A 23-year-old man has been dragged from his car and assaulted in front of his pregnant passenger in a road-rage incident in the NSW Southern Highlands.

Police say the man had almost been involved in a crash with another car on the Hume Highway at New Berrima on Thursday afternoon.

After they left the highway, the two drivers began arguing.

The driver of the second car got out, dragged the first driver from his car and attacked him.

When passers-by came to help, the second driver drove off and the victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack.
