NSW man hands himself in after shooting

Police do not believe a man arrested in connection to an alleged shooting in Sydney's west is linked to a spate of similar incidents.

A man is in hospital after being shot in the arm, while another man is to appear in court over an unrelated shooting also in Sydney's west.

A 34-year-old man found with a gunshot wound to the arm at Ethel St, Condell Park, about 9am on Wednesday, has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred in the same area where 34-year-old Bilal Taha was found lying outside a home last week. He later died in hospital.

Meanwhile, a man who handed himself in to police after another shooting in the city's west on Sunday is due to appear in court on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Yagoona man has been charged with firing a gun at a house with disregard for safety after handing himself in to Parramatta police in the early hours of the morning.

In Sunday's incident, police believe, two men drove to a house on Kibo Road, in Regent's Park, and fired a number of shots at the house.

A woman in her 50s and a teenage girl were treated at the scene by paramedics for shock, but were otherwise unharmed.

In a separate attack, two shots were fired into an Auburn home in a drive-by shooting on Tuesday but no one was injured, police say.

Witnesses told police they heard a car speed off shortly after hearing the shots.

Police do not believe the shootings are related.
