A man accused of murdering another man whose body was discovered in a NSW national park will remain behind bars.
The body of 48-year-old John Gasovski was uncovered by a park ranger in the Budderoo National Park, Jamberoo on June 15, 2014.
He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
Glen Roland Dunstall, 46, appeared at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday charged with murder and did not apply for bail.
It comes almost a year after Mr Gasovski was reported missing by his wife.
He told her he was making a business trip to Canberra but failed to return home, police say.
Homicide detectives were initially investigating his death but eventually handed the matter to the Organised Crime Squad's Strike Force Brinkley after the alleged murder was linked to an ongoing investigation into commercial drug manufacture and supply.
It is alleged Mr Gasovski was involved in buying equipment used to manufacture prohibited drugs and had planned to take part in the transport of a commercial quantity of cannabis from Canberra to Sydney.
Speaking after Dunstall's arrest, Detective Superintendent Scott Cook said deaths linked to organised crime were often the most challenging to solve due to people's reluctance to talk.
"Becoming involved with organised crime groups and networks ... can often have serious consequences not only for the individual but their family and the wider community," he said.
