James Bond once used a Ford Mustang to evade the police, but NSW Police will be hoping to use it to catch crims when their new pursuit car becomes operational.
An image has been leaked online of the state highway patrol's first marked Mustang pursuit car.
According to a post on Facebook, the car, which does not appear to have been fitted with lights or sirens yet, is likely to take part in Operation Free Flow, patrolling the state's motorways.
It's believed the car will not come into use until it meets police braking standards, the post says.
NSW Police would not comment on the image, which was not released by them, and say details of the vehicle won't be provided until it becomes operational.
It's not clear when that will be.
