NSW teen dies after stolen bike crashes

Police say a 15-year-old boy was riding a stolen motorcycle in Ganmain when he crashed into a tree and died.

A teenage boy has died after the stolen motorcycle he was riding crashed into a tree in the New South Wales Riverina region.

Emergency services were called to Brills Lane at Ganmain, north west of Wagga Wagga, on Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle left the road and hit a tree.

The 15-year-old rider died at the scene.

Checks by investigators have also revealed the motorcycle was stolen, police said.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
