NSW to get early NDIS roll-out

The NSW and federal governments are bringing the National Disability Insurance Scheme to western Sydney a year ahead of schedule.

NSW will officially sign up to the early roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in a move that is expected to bring forward assistance for 2000 children and young people by 12 months.

Minister for Disability Services John Ajaka and Federal Assistant Minister for Social Services Mitch Fifield will sign the state-commonwealth agreement in Penrith, in western Sydney, on Tuesday morning.

The $20 million agreement will fund children and young people in the Nepean and Blue Mountains regions.
