NSW woman caught with 26 stolen goats

A 22-year-old woman has been charged after she was caught with 26 stolen goats in the back of her ute in central NSW.

A woman has allegedly been caught with 26 stolen goats packed into the back of a caged ute in central NSW.

The 22-year-old was pulled over by police this week near Nyngan without the appropriate paperwork for the herd of goats, worth about $1000, Detective Acting Inspector Jay Locke told AAP on Friday.

She's been charged with having goods in custody suspected of being stolen, driving while disqualified and using a vehicle in breach of a defect notice.

The woman is due to face Nyngan Local Court next month.
