NSW hooker Robbie Farah believes teammate Josh Reynolds would be unfortunate to miss the next State of Origin clash due to suspension.
Reynolds is facing a grade-two dangerous throw charge following an incident with Queensland winger Brent Tate in the first half of Wednesday night's game-one win.
If the five-eighth takes an early guilty plea, he'll receive a two-game ban and be ineligible for game two in Sydney in three weeks.
Farah said it was disappointing to lose Reynolds after the Canterbury star combined well with halfback Trent Hodkinson to give the Blues a great chance of ending Queensland's eight-year dominance.
"Obviously, you don't want too much change of personnel going into the second game," he said.
"I thought it was a really good tackle from what I've seen. There was no hand between the leg from what I remember - he just landed on his back. There was a player over the top as well which probably tipped the momentum a bit.
"I don't think it's worth two games so, hopefully, the powers that be will have a look at that and downgrade it."
Farah said he couldn't have been prouder of his teammates after the gutsy 12-8 victory.
But after winning last year's opener, only to lose the series 2-1, the Wests Tigers' star said nothing had been completed yet.
"We were in this position last year and we let it slip," he said.
"Queensland will be better because they're a quality team and they're not going to go down without a fight."
