NT murder accused appears in court

A Northern Territory man accused of murdering his partner has not applied for bail.

Danny Deacon, 44, appeared briefly in the NT Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Police allege that he murdered his partner Carlie Sinclair, who disappeared from their business in Darwin on June 18, 2013.

Police requested eight weeks to prepare a prosecution brief, which will include forensic evidence still being compiled.

Deacon will reappear in court in February.
