A man accused of pretending to be a nurse at a Cape York indigenous community is also being investigated by Northern Territory police.
Nicholas William Crawford has been charged with more than 100 offences including fraud, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and supplying dangerous drugs after allegedly working at Aurukun Primary Health Care Centre in February and March this year.
The NT department of health is assisting police and the national health regulator investigate whether his five shifts as an agency nurse for the Top End Health Service were legitimate.
"As both investigations are ongoing, we will make no further comment," Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office Dr Robyn Aitken said.
Queensland Police allege the 30-year-old administered a number of drugs including morphine, oxycodone and codeine at Aurukun.
His case was referred to the Crime and Misconduct Commission and the Health Ombudsman in Queensland, and prompted a screening of all health workers in the state.
A spokesperson for Queensland health minister Cameron Dick told AAP Mr Crawford was not thought to have worked at any more of the state's public health institutions.
