Eight more people have died on Northern Territory roads so far this year compared to the corresponding period in 2014.

The Northern Territory road toll has risen to 37 after a man died in Royal Darwin Hospital. (AAP)

The Northern Territory road toll has risen to 37 after a 43-year-old man died in Royal Darwin Hospital.

The man was involved in a single vehicle accident on Thursday night near Berry Springs.

The road toll at the same time last year was 29.
