Nude Sydney bed invader gets curfew

An Irishman who was found naked in a Sydney couple's bed has been granted bail after being released from a mental health facility and charged.

An Irishman who was found naked in a couple's bed in Sydney's south has been granted bail after being released from a mental health facility.

Finnian McKeown, 25, was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent on Wednesday, nearly a month after the incident in Maroubra.

At Waverley Local Court, Magistrate Michael Barko imposed a strict night time curfew on McKeown, and ordered him to report to police daily and seek treatment for his mental health issues.

McKeown, who will live with his cousin in Maroubra for the purpose of his bail, was ordered not to leave the home at night unless accompanied by his cousin or father.

He was also told not to drink alcohol or take drugs except his prescribed mental health medication.

The Irishman is also forbidden from entering an international airport as part of bail conditions over the alleged incident.

Police say at about 1.45am on August 17, a woman woke up to find McKeown naked in the bed with her and her partner.

She woke up her partner, who told McKeown to leave.

He picked up his clothes and walked into the backyard where the couple tried to keep him while they called police.

But McKeown allegedly climbed back through the kitchen window and walked through their home.

When officers arrived and put him inside the police car, they say McKeown began to convulse and an ambulance was called.

He was taken to hospital and later admitted to a mental health facility.
