Obama goes off script to make dig at Republicans in SOTU address

Of all the words in Barack Obama’s State of the Union address today, it was an off-script dig at his Republican colleagues that has got everyone talking.

US President Barack Obama has gone off script during his State of the Union address to remind Republicans of his two election victories over them.

Addressing Congress today, Mr Obama said he had "no more campaigns to run," generating applause from the crowd.

"I know 'cause I won both of 'em," he said, in reference to his two successful election campaigns.
