US President Barack Obama's eldest daughter Malia has landed a job as an intern on the set of Lena Dunham's hit TV drama Girls.

The First Daughter was photographed on set in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, a year after joining the crew of Halle Berry's sci-fi series Extant as a production assistant.

The teenager, who turns 17 on Saturday, is reportedly eager to work behind the scenes in Hollywood when she is older.
