Obeid case to go to Supreme Court

Misconduct charges against ALP powerbroker Eddie Obeid will be heard in the Supreme Court.

Former ALP powerbroker Eddie Obeid has had his matter moved to the Supreme Court.

Obeid is fighting misconduct charges and is accused of making inducements to a senior public servant in return for extensions on leases for lucrative family-owned businesses in Sydney's Circular Quay in 2007.

Obeid appeared at Downing Centre District Court on Friday, where his matter was adjourned to the Supreme Court for a May 15 hearing.
