Disgraced former NSW Labor MP Eddie Obeid snr and three of his sons are suing the state of NSW and people involved with ICAC.
A statement of claim lodged with the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday says the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) was malicious and planted evidence.
The claim makes various allegations about former ICAC commissioner David Ipp, senior counsel assisting ICAC Geoffrey Watson and seven ICAC officers.
Eddie Obeid snr has pleaded not guilty to charges of misconduct in public office, which came after ICAC corruption investigations.
The family has accused Mr Watson SC of having behaved towards Mr Obeid senior in an aggressive, threatening and intimidating manner.
Fairfax Media has reported Mr Watson as saying the allegations were untrue.
"These allegations are the greatest bunch of rubbish that I have ever read," Mr Watson was reported as saying in the Sydney Morning Herald.
The NSW Supreme Court today confirmed the document had been filed on July 9, and would be listed before the court at 9am on October 14.
ICAC declined to comment.
