Evan O'Hanlon has won Australia's first gold medal at the IPC athletics world championships in Lyon.
O'Hanlon blitzed the field in the men's 100m T38 class for athletes with cerebral palsy and hit the finish line as a clear winner.
The New South Welshman's time of 10.93 put him 0.36 seconds ahead of South Africa's Dyan Buis in second..
"We had a false start and unfortunately got pulled back but it was pretty late. I would have liked to run a little quicker but it wasn't to be this time around," O'Hanlon said.
"The result is a great one considering I was in hospital just before leaving Australia but I think in these past few days I have started to find my rhythm again. I felt much better out there today than yesterday."
Queenslander Rheed McCracken claimed silver in the T34 wheelchair 200m behind Tunisia's Walid Kitla.
Rosemary Little secured the Australian Flame their third medal of the day with a bronze in the T34 wheelchair 100m behind winner Hannah Cockroft of Great Britain and the Netherland's Amy Siemons.
