O'Loughlin back for Wigan in WCC clash

Sean O'Loughlin will be back in action for Wigan's clash against Sydney Roosters on Saturday after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Wigan will welcome back skipper Sean O'Loughlin for Saturday's World Club Challenge against Sydney Roosters at the Allianz Stadium.

The England loose forward missed the Super League champions' opening game of the season against Huddersfield and also sat out the warm-up match against New Zealand Warriors in Hamilton last week after picking up a hamstring injury in training.

But O'Loughlin was on Tuesday included in coach Shaun Wane's 19-man squad and will be hoping to complete a unique hat-trick.

His last two appearances for his club were in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley last August and the Grand Final at Old Trafford in October, both of which the Warriors won.

England winger Josh Charnley is also included after missing the Huddersfield game following a hernia operation

Wigan's only injury absentee is hooker or half-back Sam Powell, who sustained an ankle injury in training.

SQUAD (in alphabetical order):

J Bateman, M Bowen, J Burgess, J Charnley, T Clubb, D Crosby, G Dudson, L Farrell, B Flower, A Gelling, D Goulding, B Green, J Hughes, M McIlorum, S O'Loughlin (capt), E Pettybourne, D Sarginson, M Smith, S Taylor.
