One dead and six injured after New Zealand helicopter crash

One person has died in a helicopter crash on a mountain in New Zealand.

Four people have been transported from the crash site on Mount Alta, near Wanaka, to Dunedin Hospital in a serious but stable condition and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two have been treated at Wanaka Medical Centre for minor injuries.

All seven on board were New Zealanders.
