One goal, three scorers at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea beat Everton 1-0 in the EPL but officials took some time shuffling three names before giving the goal to Blues skipper John Terry.

Confusion reigned at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after Chelsea's winning goal in their 1-0 Premier League victory at home to Everton was credited to three different players.

Chelsea scored the game's only goal in the third minute of stoppage time, when John Terry challenged visiting goalkeeper Tim Howard for Frank Lampard's free-kick and the ball popped into the net.

Lampard had whipped the ball into the Everton area from wide on the left and the decisive touch seemed to come from either the boot of the stretching Terry or the left hand of Howard.

The goal was initially attributed to Lampard, before being categorised as a Howard own goal, and then finally going down as a goal for Terry.

Asked if he had got the final touch, Terry told BT Sport: "Great ball from Lamps. I just managed to get a touch on it and I think it came off Howard in the end as well."
